  31. I don't actually have one of these modems, but I had a call from someone
  32. in Canada who had bought one of these modems, and also had strange problems.

  34. There seemed to be the same long wait before answering, but we would get
  35. a fax or a data connect.  However, upon a data connect, the modem would
  36. send the string "DATA" back, and required an "ATO" command to be sent to
  37. the modem to make things work again.  That is how USR's adaptive answering
  38. sequence works with Class 1 mode, but Class 2.0 should not be handled like
  39. that.  It should report "+FDM" on data calls, immedately followed by the
  40. regular CONNECT nnnnn/xxxxxx message.
